Over the winter I did a 1g head swap on my car along with some other goodies ( http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/280038-my-winter-build.html )

I tried to fire it up today, and al it did was turn over. I know I have spark and everything should be hooked up correctly (no CEL or DTC from dsmlink) but that doesn't mean that I missed plugging in a ground or something. It seems like it wants to start. If I went from a 2g head to a 6 bolt head, would I need to switch some spark plug wires to get it to fire correctly? I have the coil pack hooked up exactly how it was before the swap, and it worked fine then. I can hear my fuel pump turning on, but I might still check the fuel rail. I know my timing is good.

This is what I've checked or done so far:
Tried CAS both ways (also tried both ways on dsmlink)
I have spark (shocked my girlfriend via plug wire on accident :)
timing is good
fuel pump turns on
no CEL's or DTC per dsmlink

Any suggestions?

I havn't checked compresson yet, but I will. The plug wires is exactly what I was wondering! That's what it sounds like could be the problem. I'll have to try that tommorow. Any other suggestions?

I bled the lifters by putting them in a cup of oil then putting a pin inside of them and got most of the oil out except for a thin film of oil if that's what you mean.

Ok, tried to start it again today with the plug wires switched around, and it started for 2 seconds. It hesitated and shut off. It sounded like all 4 cylinders wern't working. I pulled the plugs and looked. Cyl #1 was black and smelled like gas, #2 was a little darker then brand new, and #3 and #4 were still looking brand new. Could I not be getting fuel to those cylinders? I checked the injector plugs and they were all on good. Any suggestions what to do now?

Well, I got the car running, but I have another problem. My lifters tick and it's so loud I thought my new cams were super choppy, but I got out of my car and went to the engine bay and realized that it was my lifters ticking horribly. Will this go away? I let my car idle for about 2 minutes and it didn't go away after that, so I don't know what to do. Suggestions?
