I read through the FAQs and searched through the forums but didn't find anything on this.

It's a 92 Talon AWD 4bolt rear. The owner says he recently put in an ACT clutch 2600, he changed the slave and didn't change the master cylinder. He says it's hard to get into 5th and you have to kind of pull it towards you and then put it in. It was fine before the clutch change. He says it's just the master cylinder, and it's a problem with DSMs and they have trouble getting into the right gears if the master cylinder is going bad.

Is this true? Or am I looking at bigger problems?

Thanks for the help,
Mike

I would change that master even if its not leaking and it ends up not being the problem, it might be good now but not for long with the 2600 in there. After all its only like $80 in part and fluid and an hour at most of your time. Cheaper then tow cost on the week end! How much is he asking for the car? Minor problems could be big saving for you if you play your card right.:rocks: How does 5th feel when its engaged?

Thanks for the help, it sold though. No biggie, I'm not in hurry just looking around for good deals. I have my daily driver I just need a fun weekend/autox car.

i had that problem when i put in my ACT2600 and then i changed my master cylinder and it fixed the problem
