I was wondering if anyone has any idea on this. I would like to know 2 things.

1) Does anyone know what the thread size of an exhaust bung plug is? This is in case I can go to somewhere like Home Depot and buy the bolts for cheap.

2) Does anyone know where I may be able to find exhaust bung plugs that are already cut and ready to just be put in?

I just need to plug up a few bungs before an inspection .

Thanks.

SBR sells a decent SS bung & plug combo (I used that for my wideband install)... dunno know about the size/thread pitch of it. -All I know is that it is the same size as any other 4 wire O2 sensor...

Just take a junk stock O2 sensor and thread it in :D THEN be sure to zip-tie the harness off "INTO" the main engine harness so that it LOOKS like it's OEM... The Nazis will never know the difference :thumb: :tease: :p

They sell the bung, but not the plug for the bung.

1. M18x1.5. Good luck finding this size at your local hardware store. I can't even find this since at some of my local auto parts stores.

2. eBay

Thanks for the specs man. Yeah I saw that Ebay one earlier and didn't know if it would be the correct size. It says it is for bikes but if it is okay then I guess thats the only place left to buy them. They look like they install with just a regular allen wrench.

Thanks fellas!

Looks like I might be going for these:

Ebay plugs for mustangs

They are cheaper and have a 3/4 bolt to mount them.

They'll work. I'm not sure why the auctions say car/bike specific since all O2 bungs are the same size. One thing to watch out with those plugs though is the head is very shallow and if it rounds, you're going to have a hard time getting it out. That's one reason I like the allen head plugs - that and they look nicer IMO.
