Hear is my problem. I have a Tial BOV that is curently vented from the previous owner. My question is should I buy a MAF and MAFT and sell the Extreme PSI intake or should I sell the Tial for another BOV that I can recirculate. I've searched and some people run it fine without a MAFT and some people say it will run like crap. I know it will run rich for a second between shifts but is that it? Also I have 680cc injectors and a SAFC but I know the SAFC has a hard time tuning injectors that big. Would the MAFT/SAFC combo help with this? I'm really wanting to just buy a DSMlink but don't want to spend the money right now becuase I would also have to buy a EPROM ECU. I really need some advice! thanks

You could buy a 1g BOV for now. They work great and can be had for fairly cheap. Throw your stock injectors back in if you can't get the tune right. Save some money and sell the S-AFC for link. Thats what I would do anyways.

If you want to use the tail BOV your going to have to go the MAF/T way, or there are other way of doing it so your can correctly vent the BOV. But it sounds like your interested in DSMlink, which would be the best way to go.

+2 on the 1G BOV, it would be a cheap way to get by for now and save up for dsmlink.

When coming to a stop the car can shut off also do to being vented incorrectly. I would buy the maf-t. If you can find an adapter that will go on the tial flange and make it where you can use a 1g bov do that for now. Your going to need the maf-t with dsmlink also to vent the bov unless they have V3 out by the time you buy it. I doubt they will have V3 out by then though.

thanks all, I'm not broke I can buy a good BOV I just don't want to buy something and then turn around and want something else. I want to buy the right thing the first time LOL. Anyways, so even with DSMlink I will need the MAFT to vent? I think if I get rid of my Tial I can probabley find another BOV with little out of pocket as opposed to the MAFT which I can only recover money buy selling my intake. Is there any other benefit as to the MAFT other than venting the BOV with the SAFC. Thanks a ton for all the help!

If you want to vent at all, even in the future, get the MAF-T because you're going to have to buy it sooner or later. Running a GM MAF will allow you to vent and also get rid of the MAS (somewhat of a restriction) in front of the turbo. You won't have to worry about overrunning the MAS if/when you get to flowing that much air.

If you don't care about venting, get a different bov. For this, you'll probably have to get a new bung welded on though.

The main reason people go with the gm maf is because they are overrunning or are going to overrun the stock maf. That is why I went with one. Plus when you vent the bov you will have better transient boost response.

you dont need to have the safc sell it, keep the tial bov, buy a gm maf and the maft, and throw the stock injectors back in for now, run close to stock boost until you get your dsmlink then put the 680's back in there and haul ass, the safc is pointless if you are looking to get dsmlink in the future, and if you really wanted to you can even keep the 680's in there and dial them in with the maft, its a little harder but you can do it and your car will run better with more power while listening to a nice tial bov!

I beg to differ. I feel that most people go to it just so they can vent. You are one of the rare ones that went to it for actual performance reasons.

Your probably right. I should rephrase that to "The main reason people on dsmlink forums go with the gm maf is because they are overrunning or are going to overrun the stock maf.".

are there any bov that will bolt up to the tial flange? I also have a 1g flange as well. Will anything other than a 1g bov bolt to that? Also, If i do go with link do i have to have the maft to still run vented? thanks

As I already mentioned, yes you will still need the maf-t to properly vent the bov to the atmosphere with Dsmlink. That is until V3 of Dsmlink comes out. There is no set date for V3 to come out though so I would just get the maf-t.

I believe the Tial flange is only used for the Tial bov. I've never seen a converter for it.

The 1g flange will work with the 1g and with a bit of modification, a Greddy.
