Ended up coming across a 91 Galant VR4. You wouldnt beleive me if I told you what I paid for it. Regardless, I could not stand looking at that stock motor anymore. So things needed some changing.

-14b turbo w/ ported compressor side and ported 7cm turbine side
-Tubular 2.5 O2 housing int. gate
-Ported 2G exh manifold
-3" downpipe (gutted cat) w/ 3" cat back exhaust
-2.5 aluminum piping w/ FMIC
-2G TB Elbow
-Greddy RS BOV
-GM 3" MAFT
-SAFCII (soon to be dsm link)
-550cc injectors (soon to be 880cc)
-Wally 255 fuel pump re-wired
-Aeromotive FPR
-ACT 2600 pressure plate w/ 6puck sprung clutch
-Filled motor mounts
-Deleted all emmisions
-Deleted AC
-Non cruise cable
-Gutted interior

Running the AFC and 550cc injectors for now. I am sure there will be other issue to weed out so I didnt want to get into the ECU and injectors to much.

What do you guys think?

All sounds good, except the gutted interior. I have gutted some DSMs, but could not bring myself to gut a GVR4.
Now, I am not sure if this is still and issue, so anyone feel free to chime in.
I know some DSM'rs with turbo awd cars have had problems with ACT 2600s in the past. Has the issue been fixed?
I know the XTD ebay clutch has actualy had awesome sucsess among many owner groups.

XTD = Excedy? If so, I have heard some great things about them too. I am a true believer of you get what you paid or and you would think that sayiing would go hand in hand with something like a clutch. I am running an ACT HD clutch and street disc on the honda and cant hot lap the car. Few of my buddies ditched the ACT clutches and ended up going with centerforce, excedy, and some type of competition clutch and they say they will never go back to ACT. I dunno... we will see what happens. The tranny is on its way to shep while I drive around on a used tranny so I will probably swap the ACT out when the tranny gets swapped out.... again.

I will run DSMlink and the injectors when I swap the turbo. Things cost money. I am going to be running a one of a kind manifold design and probably something like a FP or GT35. Not sure... not on that stage of the build.

Personally, I could give a shit about the GVR4. They aren't "pretty" cars. Everything from back seat to rear bumper is going to be gone. Front interior stays. This is a toy only. In no way shape or form do I rely on this car as a DD. Its going to be made to go fast in a straight line and thats it. Chasing a 12sec pass and 300awhp on the 14b. Once I get there, then I will swap out the turbo. Don't wanna run 12second passes with a 10sec turbo! If I cant get to 12s on the 14b, then I clearly have no clue what I am doing and should stop there... at least thats the way I look at it.

I have no idea if XTD is affiliated with Exedy in any way. In many cases, yes you pay higher and get more. But, the XTD clutches are very cheap, and as I mentioned have had awesome sucsess. I will be using one on my DSM.
If you bought a GVR4 to impress the ladies, sir.... You are in the wrong group of cars. If the woman was not interested in you before she seen your car, then she doesnt need to be with me anyway, thats my thinking.
Anyhow, I love the looks of the VR4. I could give a damn less what a woman thinks of it, if she thinks like that, she is probably a loser anyway. ROFL
