low idle

Stopped at dealer and picked up new oil filler cap. Replaced it and on the way home car will start, and not idle correctly. It is rough and going up and down. As long as I am on the throttle it runs fine, but as soon as I slow to stop it dies. Was running fine before. Old cap was leaking oil on top of motor. 90 laser turbo.

Any help will be nice.

Check all of your electrical connections. Specifically the ones that have or had oil on them. The injector caps are really old and probably loose. Mine did the exact same thing.

Figured it out. THe alternator went bad. Replace alternator and it runs great. It died on the way to work last Wednesday.
