I am now a proud owner of a Red 97 GS spyder Eclipse 5spd with the 2.4L NT... I just got it today dirt cheap! it has 140,xxx on it... Alternator is bad, battery is dead and the motors that retract the roof are bad... but over all its in good shape (will post pics tomorrow)
I also have a 97 GSX that im working on, but needed a beater car to drive around in while my dsm was being worked on... however i looked at some cheap hondas and thought
" You know what the hardest thing about driving a honda is?? Telling your parents your ###"
knowing that, there was NO way I was going to drive some lame car... then I found this beauty, now I need some basic info on it
I dont plan on modding it ### its just my beater but I DO have a few questions
Will my old alt from my gsx bolt right up?
Do they use the same air filter?
and where can i buy motors for the roof?
and just for fun, what are the turbo issues with this car? I know it can be done but how hard is it?

Used Low milage engine GSX 7bolt
Exedy OEM clutch
Fananza Flywheel
Greddy type RS bov, with hose adpter 2 intake
Dejon smic piping (im going smic, yea!)
Dejon BIG SMIC
SBR cast mold manifold
accel plugs
NGK sparks
New OEM timing belt
NEW OEM thermastat
NEW OEM water pump
Skunk2 Cam gears (got them CHEAP!)
JOE MBC
Parts I plan to buy:
Team Rip Stage 1 Tranny
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
SS brake lines
Pads
Rotors
parts already on car:
Small 16g Turbo
downpipe 3inch
magna flow hi flow cat 3inch
apexi 3inch exhaust
injen intake
ebay filter
again buying the new car has left me dirt poor,
I feel like such a DSMer, and im so proud of it!
