so i am going to drop my engine in soon and i replaced my stock 14b with a small 16g because the 14b wasn't good anymore. so my question is how will my car run with the 16g on my stolck fuel system?

you will atleast need a 255 walboro fuel pump so you wont get fuel cut

Replacing the fuel pump with a higher volume unit will not help prevent fuel cut. Fuel cut is triggered by an increase in airflow seen by the ECU. Once above a certain level, fuel cut occurs.

And you'll be fine with the 16g. As long as you keep it at or slightly below stock boost level your fuel system should be able to keep up. Of course, I'd still recommend some way to datalog and verify that everything is safe.

i'm just going to run stock boost and stock fuel untill i break the engine. i'm buying a a fuel pump and injectors off my buddy. how much will it cost to tune my car?

..until you "break the engine" huh? Then what?

You're still going to need more than a fuel pump and injectors. While they will allow for more fuel and support for more boost, you're still left with no way to tune the car. At the very least you're going to need an afc and datalogger. I'm not a fan of the afc though and would recommend DSMLink over most anything else out there. If you plan on doing the tuning yourself, no more money should need to be spent at that point. If you plan on paying someone to dyno tune the car, expect to probably pay around $100+ an hour,

Depends upon what you use to tune with and if you use someone to do the tuning for you. I paid $175 safc 2, 100 evoscan, around 330 for zeitronix wideband w/display and boost sensor. Too much for laptops for evoscan. :tease:

I agree. It is definately something you must do. I cant say much. I got a walbro 190 and a rewire kit that i have had for about 3 weeks that I havent installed yet WTF but then again I have only driven the car 4 times since I got the pump and kit.

that wont do anything for fuel cut LOL, you need larger fuel injectors, ### thats what is gettting maxed out, you will need a larger fuel pump, but a larger fuel pump is not the fix for fuel cut, get a 190 stock evo fuel pump...
