Back in the beginning of February I purchased a 1992 Talon TSI shell basically.. there was no engine, basically no interior except a dash and front seats but the car did have a carbon fiber hood and after market lights and the body was generally in good shape. At the time I had never owned a DSM before I had always worked on domestics. After serching for awhile for a 6bolt I finally found one in a wrecked TSI and I was able to buy the whole car. After many headaches getting that engine out consider it was an ABS and cruise control car, ugh... the swap is finally moving in the right direction. Headache after headache between the project car having basically everything you could possibly think of stripped out of it and missing half of the plugs on the wiring harness I am finally down to only having a couple more things to do. The weather is starting to break and i cant wait to get this car on the road. The only thing left to do now is bolt on the turbo, intake, FMIC, battery and exhaust and a couple misc. grounds and plugs. It has been such a learning experience of me with this car and this site has been a huge savior many times with the welth of information it offers. Of course now that im at the end im running into every little roadblock you can think of but just reading other peoples stories def. motivates me. Just thought id tell my lil story, I'll post some pics later!
