Can't siphon gas out of 98 gst spyder

So i put a tube down the gas tank and it reaches a dead end after like 3 feet...the hose comes out completly dry and doesnt even reach the gas

i also looked for a drain plug, but couldn't find it.

any ideas?

You could always disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail and run it into an approved gas can then turn the fuel pump on.

Be careful, as the line will be under pressure and you are dealing with gasoline.

There`s an anti-roll over check valve in the filler tube(in case the car gets up-side down in a wreck,the fuel won`t run out & cause a fire). Just pull out the back seat bottom,& pull off the fuel assembly access plate & draw the fuel out from there . . .

The check valve actually doubles as an anti-siphon device, although it is meant to serve the safty purpose more that anything. I have to agree with TALONTRAX though with the easiest way being the seat removal trick.
