Hello guys.. I'm new to this dsmtuners site, I just wanted to know If anyone has had problems with this set up(STOCK THROWOUT BEARING, FORK.. ECT). Will a used pressure plate with a new street disk work>? Im asking because the mods that I have are useless with the clutch that I have... This is going to be in a spyder gst(FWD).
Any suggestions?

Also, I started to hear a POPING noise when the clutch pedal ALMOST hits the floor.... SLAVE OR MASTER CYL>?

Here are the mods I have:
Evo3 16G @ 9psi(WANT TO GET IT TO 15 PSI), Total Seal Piston Rings(2nd gap-less), Comp 101/100 camshafts, APR Head Studs, B&M Fuel Regulator, Ported 2G head, Intake manifold ported, exhaust manifold ported, 02 sensor housing ported as well, OBX 3" downpipe, Walbro 255 HP Fuel Pump Upgrade, Injen short ram intake, front mount intercooler, aluminum 2.5" intercooling piping, greddy RS BOV, 97-99 Front bumper conversion w lights, autometer Boost and A/F ratio gauges.

A USED pressure plate will work, ASSUMING that YOU verify it's not warped at ALL.

If you've got one thats in great shape, a new disc will work.

My 2 cents.

Is this a loud popping noise?

When you're hearing this popping noise, is your clutch pedal feeling anything other than normal?

Get under the car, pull the rubber boot back from the body of the slave cylinder. If there's fluid under there, the slave needs to be replaced.

Get IN your car, and check the clutch linkage above your pedal. You'll see where the master cylinder comes through the firewall and attaches to your pedal assembly. IF the adjusting rod that attaches to your clutch pedal is sticky or gooey, that means your clutch master cylinder is leaking, and needs to be replaced.

If the master and slave both check out fine, check your fluid level, and maybe rebleed the system.

IMHO, these are some things to check to at least HELP eliminate a few components as the cause of your "popping" sound.

I'm sure other guys that know a lot more than I do will have some better advice...

in my own opinion i actually preffer to use stock street discs with the act pp. if you look at the act disc there is only 3 rivets holding the outer part of the clutch to the inner and the stock replacment disc has 4

This is a good street clutch setup that will hold a good amount of power with no problem. I'd go ahead and get a new clutch PP and disc.

I noticed a QUIET poping noise when the pedal almost was hitting the floor... and also.. the clutch use to grab when the pedal was almost the the floor, NOW It grabs still but It almost all the way to the top. any info on that?
Ill check the slave out and see if its leaking fluid... thanks for the help guys.
