ok i have a 95 talon tsi awd with a 99 gst swap....before the swap my bov would whistle but now after the swap its silent i just ear air like with an intake.....everything is tight no leaks could it be stuck ?????

Evo 7-9 bov's are a direct replacement on 2g's. The Evo 8's came with a plastic bov, but they function very well, mine handles 21psi without any issues whatsoever, plus their dirt cheap. The Evo 9's came with a metal one that is similar to a 1g but it doesn't require a flange. They're both worth looking into as an easy upgrade on a 2g.

If it was stuck closed you would be hearing the unmistakeable sound of compressor surge.

The stock 2Gs intake system made very little to no noise due to its engineering. If you are holding your desired PSI level then dont worry about the noise for now.

As said above, the stock 2G design is notorious for leaking and sucking in general which is why it is usually the first upgrade most people do to their cars. 1G units can be picked up on the cheap but require an adapter plate if you are to use the stock upper intercooler pipe. As Purevil said, the EVO units are very similar in dimensions and can be directly installed without any modifications but more importantly can hold a lot more boost without leaking.
