balance shaft prolbems?

car is a 95 eclipse gsx awd turbo 5 speed and has 133,000 miles.

what could be the cause and the relitive repair.. could i just put in new bearings and an elimitor kit to save money?

thanks in advance

i also forgot to mention that when at idol for a few mintues the oil pressure gague drops to nearly nothing, but its back up to over half way while driving. is this a sign of a failing oil pump or balance shaft alignment prolbems?. i also have my timing belt covers completly off right now, and engine is in driveable condition. so tell me exactually what i should be looking for and ill easliy be able to check it out in the morning.

i would first check the balance shaft belt,, and then make sure all your timing marks line up even the one on the rear balance shaft.

It is normal to only have a few pounds of oil pressure at idle. A real gauge would let you know exactly how much you had.
