boost leak?

when i am driving on the highway going about 60 and i floor it the rpm's shoot up to 4 and then drop down to 30 while im accelerating. does anyone know what the problem could be?

Was that when your car shifted gears? RPMs do drop when shifting gears.

Problem: Slipping clutch.

Solution: Replace clutch.
