I am going to end up buying either the dejontool 4" intake or the FP 4" intake for my hx-35. I want to recirculate my blowoff valve for sure and I also want my crank vent hooked up if possible. FP's pipe only comes with a blowoff return, and dejontools pipe comes with a blowoff return and the other connections but I still can't decide one which pipe to get. The FP is like 50 bucks less than the dejon but I'd have to add my own nipple for the crankcase vent which I have done before, but I don't really want to ghettofy that nice pipe. Is there a clean way of adding a nipple to an intake pipe? Can I run with the crankcase vented to atmosphere instead?

Drilled and tapped for a 3/8" NPT barbed fitting and threw some JBWeld on there. :thumb: btw, if you're worried about looks, just put the fitting facing the bottom of the intake pipe, so it's not visible.

Ehh I guess I'll just drill the FP tube and JB weld it. That's what I did before anyway. Thanks for the pics.

You should know better not to put a aluminum pipe with a barb fitting. Those metals dont play fair. I used an aluminum fitting from my stepfathers work. It came out real nice.

Yeah I knew it would be easy to drill, but I was afraid of cracking or some other mess up. So, the fitting, should be 3/8"? That will mate good with the valve cover to catch can hose?

yup, just pick up a brass or aluminum 3/8" NPT barbed fitting and appropriate drill/tap. You won't crack or destroy anything, so long as you know how to drill properly. I use 3/8" on all of my lines, so technically you could go as large as you want, but 3/8" is the usual size.

This is the intake pipe i have now=http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=21592&cat=259&page=1&veh=1G%20DSM

So same use a 3/8" npt aluminum hose barb? why not brass? and whats the best spot to put the barb on the pipe like how far away from the bov return and does it have to be on the side or underneath the pipe? what happens if u decide not to run your catch can line to your intake pipe cause thats how im setup now?

Yup, you can use the same 3/8" NPT barb as shown above. Brass, aluminum, steel - doesn't matter which. Location is also up to you. Although, most of them hook up in the general area as shown on Tom's pics. If you run the hose to the atmosphere as apoosed to the intake pipe, you might experiece slightly underperforming crankcase evacuation, and you might drip a small amount of oil onto the ground.

should the brass be 3/8" barb x 1/4"? I got this size but it looks bigger then the one shown above in the picture? My catch can hoses are 3/8" when i checked.

I have to do the same for my HX35, I have the FP pipe and I have to tape for my catch can. Right now I have no connection to my catch can. Well I have no intake pipe on it either. LOL. super loud!

My setup now has no plug in the intake pipe to hookup to the catch can and one line from the catch can is going to the valve cover is this bad? the other line on my catch can cant go anywhere since i have no plug in my intake pipe since i bought a aftermarket one.
