I have a 98 GST and as soon as I get to 5000 rpm's it starts bucking. it holds boost fine until 5000. Anyone have an idea to what this is. If so throw some ideas at me.

Are you running DSMlink? I"ve heard a lot about a clutch wire and un-checking a box in the software that automatically puts the rev limiter down to around 5k-5500 RPM. Just a thought if you are running DSMlink

checked for a boost leak already when it first happened so thats not it PLugs and wires are fairly new and I have a walbro 255 fuel pump. My BOV is not recirculated but its been like that for a while now way before it started acting up, could that really be the problem? And no i dont have DSM link although I did order it and its on its way. Thanks for all the input, keep it coming please.

Ya you should really put that recirc back on. Not only is it better for the car, it will perform way better (you will notice when you shift). Some dsmers get away with it but not every car is the same. If you want to properly vent use a GM maft. Its the best way to go. Yea the sound is sweet trust me it gets the attention but do it right ya know. As for your problem, it really sounds like a boost leak. How much boost you running? Have you tried tightening your type s? Maybe its too loose but it all depends on your boost.

turned the boost down to 10psi still does it, but imma try to recic. the BOV this weekend and reset the ECU.

could this be because of a fuel pump going bad?? I did notice its whining alot louder than normal
