Hi. I'm making some research for the future.
For now my 2g tsi awd is not running, my rod bearing says "bye bye" so i have time to think about new turbo...

My setup is:
560cc Evo8 injectors
EcuMaster DET2 stand alone (you don't have that in us :sneaky:)
walbro 225hp
big fmic @ 50mm->70mm pipes
3" custom turbo back exhaust
ARP Head studs
7 bolt h-beam Manley rods
4g63 8.35:1 Ross Pistons
Rod Bearing ACL
main bearing ACL 5M1186
Cometic HG
full topline gasket kit
ARP main studs
1g 7bolt head
ACT 2600 kit
stock Transmission


for now i have SBR 16g evo3, fully ported. But i'm going foward, and looking for something bigger.

My 16g have 15psi at 3000RPM

i'm lookin for something that will have that 15psi at least at 3500-4000RPM

I'm going to run at 20psi.

I'm studing DSMT from two weeks... reading every "turbo question topic" .... and i still can't decide..... a even learned how to read compressor maps....

Please help your friend from Europe :beatentodeath:

I'm looking for turbo that will spool fast and kick hard to the end.

my first choice was:

FP30 ? It is a lot of money... i was thinking about something with normal (not bb) bearing, prices are much better.

But pte is only $ 1,079.00 for trim 50 dbb ... this price is ok for me ... and trim 50 will have fast spool...

is anyone using it ? i have t read more about it. looks great ;) but what with spool and top end ?
S258 isn't too big for me?... , i have stock tranny... i want fast spool and 400-450HP MAX, not a 600HP monster :D It will be street/time attack car not drag car ;)

ok time to use "search option" one again ;)

Spool on the BWS256 is amazing. It is non-ballbearing but it will make 20psi under 4000rpm. It will easily make 400+whp with a good amount of boost, it's recommened you run external wastegate to get the most out of it.

Next, you have just as big of a chance of blowing up your trans with this turbo then any other. Just realize that with 450whp and high rpm shifting, you are at a high risk of breaking it eventually. With that much power, things will start breaking, plain and simple.
 
Well if you are looking for 400 whp you should be able to make that with your evo 3, but you will need a few more additions to your set up. (Cams/Meth) Either way you will need bigger injectors. I think a 50 trim would be the next step up, but you should be able to make similar power with that evo 3. Check out my power numbers. It will make over 400 at the wheels when i do meth and it still spools real fast and has midrange power out the a**. Im not too familiar with the Borg Warner setups.

Or maybe you should just do it big and go to dsmparts.com and look at the FPRed. Hey I think they even come with dsm flanges. How nice..........but cost $1300ish.

I think s256 will be perfect. I read everyting that is on dsmt and i'm sure that this will be good choice.

first i have to make my engine running. next step turbo. 16g is ok, but i need something bigger. ### next step will be tre or sheps tranny ;)

And one more question. where can i put some photos from my custom engine rebuild and turbo install ? I think u don't have many rebuilds from europe :p Is here any "projects thread" ??

Why would you recommend a 16g, and then recommend an FP Red? The Red is a 60-1 based turbo, a bit laggy and more of a race gas turbo.

The EvoIII is a quick spooling, pump gas turbo.
 
Hi guys once again. I'm waiting for package with some goodies from sbr but i still can't choose the turbo...

i decided to s256 ... 49trim 400awhp no problem from that i readed.
But it spools very quickly... i think it could be dedly for my transmision. Am i right ? Hi rev gear change is not a problem i have a good cluth slip technique. But this turbo produce a lot od torqe....

Now i'm thinking about gt3076r by sbr. i have good price for it. It is the same gt30r center section as is fp3052 and it is 52trim. Is 400 to 450HP from this turbo deadly for ori transmision ? And what about lag ? I don't want to wait till 5000rpm forat least 15psi :beatentodeath:

Still pump gas.
