well i have a 1994 es 2.0L n/t well someone stole my keys and i wanted to try a push start button and 2 switches for run /acc well it works but when i got to try to start it it takes like a min to start or like 10 to 20 trys i pump the gas a lil and some times it goes rite a way when i do it but then some times it don't the car run prefect be4 this happend. when it starts it runs rich and cly.#1 is like wet and #2-4 are black as hell gap i think it was 32 or 42 i went what it said under the hood but i dont know if this is causing the problem or not i will try to get pics of the plugs soon if u know anything that might cause it let me know thanks

Check the wiring for the coolant temp sensor, you'll probably have to pull the rubber boot off. The wiring gets brittle from heat and eventually breaks. Do you have a check engine light on?

Yes, without the temp sensor in it will be hard to start, there is two sensors on the thermostat housing, one is for the temp gauge inside the car (gauge cluster) then the other temp sensor goes to the ECU. The car wont know what temp the car is and can't give correct fuel. So with it unplugged upon a cold start up you'll probably have to pump the gas to get it to start then it'll run like crap 'till its warm. Do you have a check engine light?

It's funny i have a push start as well.. the way my car works is i dont hear the pump start until i crank a bit then it will go cause the computer im thinking triggers the pump from sensing the cam sensor i believe.. but if i actually depress the clutch and turn the key the car wont turn over cause the ignition is not wired to my starter.. but i do hear the pump toggle when i do that.. so im assuming that the ignition start position will power the pump that might be an issue.
