[1G] GS Turbo Recommended oil + Filter?

I'm currently doing a tune-up on my 91 Eclipse GS Turbo. Just wondering, what oil do you guys use on your cars, and what recommendations do you guys have. I had heard synthetic was good for turbo cars. Also, for the oil filter, I plan on buying K&N. Recommendations? Ideas? Suggestions?

Go to the "Miscellaneous" section and there is a brief discussion on motor oils then a link to the "engine oil bible" which is very detailed.

Also, the "newbie FAQ" section on the left of the page has a feature for searching (via key word index) the 1000most asked Qs. Oil filter yielded some interesting reading.
To sum it up, any good quality filter is fine. You don't have to use factory filters. I prefer wix or k&n. Just stay away from the obvious el cheapos like fram and wally world.
