I've been doing some searching all day and I have not come across my situation. Just yesterday I started to see my car hesitate a little bit before when I went to start it. It cranked maybe 4 times and started( little more then normal), and I didn't think anything of it. Throughout the day it started to get longer and longer and I began to get a little nervous.

Today I was on my way out to go to school went to my car to start it up and it slowly cranked for a good 15 seconds before starting up. I drove it to school since I needed to be there, and when I left school again, a good 15 seconds to start up. When I go to start it all the lights in the car surge. So I thought maybe it was a power problem I took off the battery cables cleaned them and then terminals put them back on and same problem. I tested the battery it has 12.81 volts, but when I pop off the peephole covers one of the holes is very blurry while the others are clear(a bad cell?). While doing this I cranked it over many times and its still very slow, getting slower and slower every time I try. On my last attempt it starts and I walk around the car and theres what looks like oil spitting out the tail pipe. I have no CELs as well. Could this be from cranking it so many times? Is my starter going? What should I test to see if its a connection problem?
