Piecing together 1g & 2g engine parts

If I was going to build an engine/drivetrain using stock 1g and 2g parts, what would I want.

6 bolt 1g short block?
2g head?

I think I've got that right. What else?

You'd probably want the 1g IM along with the 1g TB... and obviously the 1g 14b.
