AS stated in th title, i noticed that my car started leaking oil yesturday after taking it to redline. upon inspection after work i saw oil droplets on the bottom of the turbo, as well as an oil soaked oil line(the line that goes to the oil pan). i am new to dsm and im not sure if the turbo is going bad(no white smoke)or the gaskets are just shot. stock tsi awd with 113k on the clock. the motor was smoking(firewall side)from spilled oil i assume.
please help:cry::cry::cry::cry:

Gaskets or plugged return tube.
Easy to replace and cheap. If it's the oil feed line on top of the turbo you will should replace the copper crush washers altho I'd still do the lower gaskets too.

return tube is the tube that goes to the oil pan right?

return tube is the tube that goes to the oil pan right?
Yup, that's it. Once removed you can blow air thru it to make sure it did not get clogged plus the dump hole into the oil pan.
There is very little pressure in the return tube, it just guides the oil from the turbo back into the pan.

so you don't think the turbos bad?

so u dont think the turbos bad?
Not offhand, if the turbo seals were shot you would see major smoke in the exhaust, not dripping down the turbo and drain tube.
The gasket on the turbo side of the tube goes bad easily, not surprising considering how close it is to the exhaust side of the turbo.

thanks guys! so start with the oil return line gasket right?
