Ebay header CARB approved?

So I'm in the process of getting my car IM , or inspection for other states.
And they won't pass my car, because the ebay header that I have doesn't have a carb stamp on it. I've looked and can't find out if it is legal or not, the guy at the emission test place told me that if I could prove it was CARB approved, then he would pass the car.Any one have info saying that it is a carb approved header or not? Its just the standard stainless steal one from ebay. Any help would be great! SO I don't get another 300 ticket!!

You're talking the ones that are like 100 +shipping? I highly doubt that they took the time to get them approved.

They aren't approved. The Greddy one's are but not the cheap eBay ones. Your best bet is to throw the stock one back on.

The pasesetter header is CARB approved and you can get them through summit. But saying that I had one and never again I would not run one on anything. There qualty SUCKS. After it cracked went with a EVO3 manfold and never been more happy

damn, Well is their a CARB approved header that looks like the ebay one, So I can print out something to try and fool the IM test place?..

I just realised you are 420a my thought to that is make some bracktes weld them on to the header and put the stock heat shield back on it Just remember what they can't see they can't ding you on

Yeah, putting on the stock heat shields might help you get away with passing visual, and it'll help lower underhood temps too. If not, buy a pacesetter just to pass inspection. Summit also had/ has? Chikkara brand headers which were also CARB legal, other then greddy, thats your only choices.

The CARB system is a scam. Unfortunately, if you're in California, you have to bend over and take it.
