I have looked but couldnt find an answer to my question. I was wondering if anyone has used or still using the FMIC with the inlet and outlet on the same end for easier routing?. Thanks in advance for replies

It would only be a shorter piping route if the entanks were positioned with one above the other (vertically). And the only design like this is a top-to-bottom flowing intercooler. And yes, these are still being used. They aren't as commonly seen/found, but they work quite well.

Some claim that the same side inlet outlet top to bottom IC's have a problem with the cool air being sent back up into the hot air supply. They also have problems distributing over the entire core without a baffle inside. The good part about them is that for their frontal area they have very short flow tubes, which decreases the pressure drop without compromising cooling ability. Top to bottom with opposite side inlet and outlets don't have the cross flowing problem, but are harder to pipe up.

Yha because i thought it would be easier to route on the same side. Due to the fact i can use my UICP and just route the bottom to the turbo by having it route around the radiator and fans. Thanks for the replies :thumb:

I run the bushcur core that has both opeings on the same side ( top to bottom ) and it's been working just fine. Even on hot days, after a long pull i'm only seeing a ~30 rise in inlet temps from whatever ambient is at the time.

How much did you pay for it? Did it come with piping, or did you have to make your own?
