You will need to send it away (or do it yourself if you are an advanced electrical person) to get a socket put in where the EPROM is. The easiest and best way to do it is to send it away to ECM Tuning (although you can purchase it from most vendors here and they have you send it to ECM Tuning directly) as they will socket your ECU and install the new burned chip. Then you just plug your ECU back in and away you go!

or you could look into the emanage ultimate. You can get brand new ones on ebay quite often for around $400 and then you do not have to deal with socketing an ecu. Just something to look into...

I bought my 95 Eprom from them and they socketed it, and checked the PCB and caps for leaks. Haven't had a problem with it. Its a little more pricey... but I felt like I was getting a guaranteed working product.. versus an iffy ebay or used.

Dave & Tom at ECMTuning (makers of DSMLink) will gladly socket your ECU and test everything for functionality. I sent my virgin EPROM to them, bought DSMLink back, and was mailed back a socketed ECU, tested, and complete. No hassle, and you get A+ service from the people who designed the software, so you really can't get much better than that.

For the most part yes. I dont think it can do flat foot shifting out of the box, but it does have a better launch control.
