Im tryin to find some hard pipe for my stock 2nd gen SMIC. But am having some doubts on the ebay intercooler piping. and wanted to know if anyone has bought a FMIC off ebay and is it worth the money in anyway. and how hard is it to replace the stock BOV on my 2nd gen to an aftermarket with no intercooler upgrades..thanks

If you want to wait for the ebay fmic, which is a proven front mount along with the pipes, buy a plastic evo 3 bov. There is a write up in the turbo tech section.

I replaced my stock 2g bov and could tell a difference. They have been known to hold 20+ psi and can be had for 20 bucks of a evo forum. It is a direct bolt on to the stock upper pipe. Most ebay kits comes flanged for a 1g bov. A 1g bov will hold the same as a evo bov if not more. Mod it by crushing it and you can hold 30+ psi.

I put all dejon hard piping on my car, to tell you the truth not a huge hp difference, really more for sound.

I have an ebay FMIC and i love it, and the funny part is that i got the piping seperatly from the intercooler, and the intercooler holds up to 40 psi. I had heard that buying the pipes seperatly from the intercooler is a pain but i went with it and everything went very smoothely. An intercooler has only one purpose and most of them achieve it. The only thing i didn't like from the ebay piping was the rubber couplers that came with the piping cause they kept blowing at 16 psi, but as soon as i replaced them everything is fine.

I put in the Greddy SMIC pipeing in my girlfriends car, I felt a big difference, had to modify the lower intercooler pipeing though

P.S Greddy type RS recirculated sounds great with the set-up
