which turbo is this? i've done some search and i found out that TD04 is a 13g but i haven't found one thread about TD04HL.
if it helps, i run @14psi

Try just searching for TD04HL . I found atleast 4 threads on this topic already. The fact that you fun at 14 psi has nothing to do with what turbo you have. I'd suggest going back and reading the first few recommendations for newbies, you may just learn something.....:)

i take it you have a automatic 1g? personally i would save up and buy something different. but im shure there is some fast 1g auto turbos, but thats just more stuff that could break down. having a very unreliable transmission on a very unreliable motor and car isnt a good combo. but if your car is manual uhh that turbo is not right. stock comes with tdo5h 14b

All he was asking for was some help, I don't understand why people got to be dicks about it. Maybe post the thread for him so he can read up on it, not just point out his faults. But anyways, TD04HL's are good little turbos if you want something that spools up quick and gives you a decent amount of boost through most of your powerband, but I would just stick to a 14b because you don't lose boost higher than 5.5k because the TD04HL can't keep up past that. But anyways bro, good luck man! Let me know how things go.

yea i know the t25 is stock on the 2g's, i had mine stolen from me! but thats not a t25. hmm i think you might have some problem. did you replace the stock t25 with that turbo? and yea most anything is better than the stock t25

Friend, please read rule number 4 before posting. And besides, ALL!!! the automatic 1g cars I've been in contact w/ have lasted longer at the same horsepower than their 5 speed counterparts. AND, it takes only about $1,000 worth of mods to have it handle more hp than a 5 speed. How much to you have to pay Shep for an upgraded 5 speed?

xreaction122, where did you get this turbo? The srt-4 turbo is a td04sl w/ a 16g compressor wheel. A stock 1g automatic comes w/ a tdo4 13g. . .Not a tdo4hl. A stock 1g 5 speed comes w/ a tdo5h 14b.

if you can fit a stock srt4 turbo on your dsm, you got some skills. the stock srt turbo setup is a special design, the manifold and the exaust housing are one peice, the the compressor housing is a seperate peice.

it came with the car and now that im feeling that its time to move on, im trying to decide what to do with it..i didn't want to make any decisions before having an unclear fact about this turbo:p

i believe the wiseman went over that a stock srt4 runs on TD04SL:D

It looks like it may have come off of a Volvo. But several turbos use that particular housing including 13G, 15G, 16T (yes, that's a T, not G), 18T and 19T. I got this from:

http://www.swededemon.com/turbo/turbolist.html

Are there any other markings which might help to determine which one it is?

you might be right. i was doing some research (google ;)) on the turbo and i dropped into alot of volvo forums. and i will get on with the search of other markings asap!
i just want to convince myself that what i have is a 15G:thumb:

13g. had the same one on my talon. came stock. check the compressor wheel, I believe that the 13b has a single blade wheel and the 13g has a twin scroll... (not 100%)

This is the correct answer. I can't believe this discussion still goes on haha. The tdo4hl shows up every now and then and I can't honestly say why. Apparently a select few 1g auto's came with this variant of the 13g instead of the regular ol tdo4. Having had both in my possession at the same time I can say without a doubt they are both exactly the same. Same measurements, same everything.

I would assume someone thought/was trying to do a 14b or similar swap onto their 2g and ended up with the 13g and just made it work.

If the previous owner has aquired td04hl turbine or machined out an MHI turbine to fit, then it is pretty much bolt on after that. It doesn't cost "too much" to do.

But apparently, the above post clears this up :) .

thanks for the clarification
you all did a super job on helping me:D
