Clutch replacement question.

hey guys. is there a difrence between the oem flywheel from a 6-bolt jdm cyclone engine to a regular 4g63t? reason i ask is because i bought a stage 3 clutch for my 93 talon and the pressure plate would not bolt up to the flywheel. please help

it depends if your motor is a 7 bolt or a 6 bolt if it is a six bolt then it will work fine

i agree, if it is a six bolt it should be fine.

the Cyclone motors are all 6 bolts. They are from EVO III's, and every VR-4 and evo III came with a 6 bolt. As far as the pressure plate not bolting up, make sure its alligned properly, becuase there is only 1 part number for ACT 2100, 2600 clutches for a 4g63.

Umm... Don't post if you don't know for sure

Evo III came with 7 bolt motors, never came with Cyclone. It is closely related to the 2g motor, little to no crank walk issue in this motor

VR-4 came with 6 bolt

Flywheels are different for 6 bolt and 7 bolt and AWD and FWD but they all use the same clutch.

well the reason it doesnt fit is because of the pressure plate surface (flywheel side). it sticks out too much and it wont let me bolt it on to the flywheel.

Sounds like you have a none turbo or a 4g61t flywheel.

yea i looked online. and i do have the n/t flywheel. but then why when i changed it to the FWD fidanza, why wouldnt the tranny fit?

You must have an N/T trans. I believe the 7 bolt n/t won't work but 6 bolt N/t trans will with an awd flywheel
I can't remember I know KM210 colt turbo trans will take a awd flywheel. We have done so many different combos I can't jog my brain right now, sorry
