16g turbo pictures from photos on webshots

It has a downward facing boost exit, which means no j pipe needed. it most definetly has a big 16g wheel and what looks to be a 7cm hotside. Any ideas??

no it even says 16g on the comp cover as well as having a mitsu logo on the hotside

looks almost like a turbo off of a evo because of the compressor cover, but it isn't a divided turbine. It also doesnt have the bolts for the "J pipe". Don't know what its off of.

The 16g6-7 Matches a Evo 3 16G but then the serial number matches nothing...

Its most likely from an Evo 8 or 9. IIRC, they had the same comp cover. I think they Evo 8 has a twin scroll hotside? You could check the turbine exit to see what the wheel looks like.

aside from the comp cover this is an evo3 16g no more no less.

Its not Evo 8 or 9 as they have a flanged compressor outlet as mentioned.

I second 90laserrsfwd's statement. It's probably a 16g for a starion/conqeust. Even the stok 14b on those cars are downward facing. Definitely not a newer evo turbo, those are a little bigger and the exhaust housing and compressor housing are opposite sides.

FP will make a 12a into a 16g or 18g if you want them too. That may be what that is.

The serial number is 49178-01300 which matches nothing on google...

Looks nothing like my 16. looks to have oil and coolant lines for a 1g, but the Conquest/Starion idea sounds like it to me. What do you want to do with it???
