My friend and I are in the process of building a 92 laser awd. We have AEM wideband controller, ARP head and main studs, Cometic head gasket, crower cams," " springs and retainers, " " titanium retainers,, Greddy Kevlar timing belt, Scat rods, eagle 8.5:1 pistons, bored .20 over, tubular manifold, 3" turbo back exhaust with magnaflow muffler, Aeromotive FPR, Aeromotive 700hp fuel kit, and a 16g.

Our question is what injectors should we get with the DSM link for running between 20-30 psi and what F/P to start at?

I would suggest nothing smaller than 720cc injectors... 850's to 1000cc's would probably be best. but what turbo are you running... PSI really means nothing compared to the airflow in lbs/minute that the turbo produces. You could do 20 psi on a 16G with 550's, but 20 PSI on a T-66 would require probably 850's or more.

Start with 42- 45psi static fuel pressure

I tuned a friends DSM with a T-71, 1000cc injectors and the stand alone link the other day, And i have to say i was very impressed with the consistancy of that ECU in the idle areas where pulse width is much shorter than injectors like to run. Especially injectors of that size.

If you're going to be controlling with DSMlink, get as big of injectors as you'd like/can. It can handle pretty much everything you throw at it. The only thing I'd have to say is 1600cc injectors are hit or miss with tuning. But you could go with a set of 1000cc or a bit larger and be fine.

And base fuel pressure for a 1G is 37psi.

Did you spend all your money on the engine? Wny build a kick arse engine then put on a crappy turbo? IMO you'll have trouble breakin 11s with that turbo!

On a 1g, just keep base fuel pressure at 37 psi unless you need more fuel. If you set base fuel pressure to 43 psi, then you will actually have to compensate for the increased fuel pressure. The 1g ECU operates assuming 37 psi base fuel pressure, so you don't have to factor that in even though most injectors are rated at 43 psi base fuel pressure.

MEANING: 550cc injectors still get -18%, 1000cc injectors still get -55%.

When you set up the properties for "A/F Ratio" however, you SHOULD factor in the lower base fuel pressure. Meaning, if you were to run 550's then you would put 550 x (37/43)^.5 = 499cc injectors.

If you don't plan on keeping the 16g long (which I'm going to assume you're not), get between 850's and 1000's..

IMO, I'd scrap the 16g idea right now and just spend an extra ~$2000 on a good turbo set up that's gauranteed to get you into the 10's (with a good driver of course).. External wastegate, ~60 trim, and other accesories that you'll need..
