1g cas wiring in a 97

ok so my cas in my 97 is broke all the wires are discolored and im not sure what wire is to go where. im trying to wire in a green top cas but the wires dont match. the wires that i have on the 1g cas plug in are from the left.. white, black, red, black. and the other plug in has white, yellow, black, and red. i tried putting the thick black to the black, the thick red to the red. then i tried putting the white to white. and yellow to the other black but nothing worked. i even tried swapping them . what should i do now? i already read rrengineering web site but im still lost... thanks for your help

did you incorporate the crank angle sensor wires into teh older CAS as well? magnus and RRE's page details it all very well, just treat it like a 6 bolt swap and it should be fine.. you should be able to pull enough wire loom back to eventually get the right wire colors figured out...



on the 2g cam plug put it's blue wire to the 1g CAS's white wire
then put the yellow wire on the 1g CAS to the blue wire on the cars crank angle plug
black on the 1g CAS to the black on the cars crank sensor plug and red to red ( again on the crank angle plug)

leave the red and black on the cars CAS cut off and taped up
