Yes, clutches are interchangeable between 1G's and 2G's. It's the flywheels that aren't (difference between 6 and 7 bolts).im

Thanks for the quick replies. My clutch is starting to slip because last night my car got stuck in 5th and i had to drive like 10 feet like that and it burned the hell out of the plate. Do i need just a new clutch plate or the clutch plate and the pressure plate?

Replace it all at once. Make sure you resurface the flywheel while you're in there too.

I would also do the master/slave cylinders, tob, clip, fork, fulcrum ball, and (if possible) a SS clutch line.

Im trying to do this for as cheap as possible since i didnt plan on having to do this. I just want something that will last through the winter.

In that case, pressure plate, clutch plate, resurface flywheel, new flywheel bolts, clip, and tob. Do you really want to have to take off the trans again because you were too cheap to replace a $25 tob and it went bad?

Shouldnt have done this if you wanted it cheap.

How much does it cost to get the flywheel resurfaced and who will do that?

When I had my flywheel looked at, the guy said it'd be about $75 to get it resurfaced. You could also send it to RRE and get a lightened stocked flywheel for $135 (http://www.roadraceengineering.com/ecldrivetrain.htm).

As for places to go - I would contact a few local transmission shops and ask them who they'd recommend. This way you can see if a few shops go to the same place. Or you can shop around for the person who seems the most knowledgeable or has the cheapest price.
