edmonton,
Snow started falling again in my area today, and when I was driving to church, I had to brake while going up the ramp and while I pushed the break pedal in, the pedal started hesitating and/or shaking and made this weird sound.. good thing I was going slow enough, but after that, it worked fine after I dropped my relatives off and I drove off. What could that occurence have been? also, How do I know when I need to change the pads and/or rotors? and this might seem like a dumb question but... how do I take off the 1g stock rims that I have, as shown in the pic that I will include

It was probably the abs. The center cap should just pop off and you can take off the lug nuts. You can look at the pads, ussually if brake pads are around 1 or 2 32nds of an inch thick they should be replaced. The rotors shouldnt need replaced unless you have a pedal that pulsates when you push it down, even then you can have the rotors cut.

I'm not sure if my pedal is pulsating... is it like a very obvious pulsating that you cant miss it if I need my rotors changed?

If your pedal is pulsating from warped rotors it will happen all the time and not just once. Pretty much everytime you hit your breaks you will feel the pedal pulse under your foot.

I'm also thinking that since snow was on the ground it was probably your abs detecting the car skidding on the snow.

You have discovered the miracle of the Anti-Lock Braking System. It's supposed to do that. Warped rotors feel less distinct, and do it all the time.
Go find a slippery parking lot and fiddle with it. Away from the lamp posts and stall stoppers.

LOL i agree with defiant, its your ABS. although you could certainly check your rotors and pads if you wanted too.
