Ok, so in a previous post I had asked where the normal lift points were on my 91 GSX car I am removing the engine out of. Now when I went to lift the engine tonight at those points, ( bracket near the CAS and IM, and loop hole off the exhaust manifold), I noticed, I do not have the bracket...or the loop that sticks up on the right side of the manifold when you are standing in front of the car looking at it. ROFL I need alternative lift points that won't damage anything. TIA!:thumb:

You can use the intake and exhaust studs carefully.

What I would do is fab up some plates to bolt to the intake and exhaust manifold studs.

Yea, I would actually do that...I just don't have the equipment or the tools needed to do that. I wish i did :D! life would be SO much easier...but not yet. I am still building my tool set. Thanks though! Its a great idea for someone who has the tools.

I don't have that bracket on the front of my engine either so I use one of the studs that stick up when you remove the driver side motor mount.

Since I was going to replace my timing belt anyway, I just used the driver’s side motor mount. Just hook up a chain and make sure its pushing on the belt not the cam gear. That should work fine, and you don’t need any special tools.

Ya, Thats what I do^^

Motor mount and around the tranny...
I think I put another one around the intake manifold too... Help control the twists.
