i was wondering myself that does a 16G turbo have it's own stock boost for ex. some stock turbo is stock boost at 14psi, and i was just wondering does the 16g have any stock boost level. because when i swap the 16G, my psi boost gauge showed 18 psi and sometime go pass 20 psi when wot, don't know why.. is my gauge not reading right or boost leak?
thank in advance

ok, let's just say that when i swap the 16G turbo and mani into my dsm, when i wot, my gauge would go up to 18 psi or maybe somtime even go pass it to 20 psi, and i'm asking does the 16G have a sotck psi set point. i havn't try to boost it yet..

you need a way to get rid of boost creep and a hooked on phonics instructional videoROFL
im sorry I just couldnt help myself.

Do you mean, does the wastegate actuator that comes with the 16g have a set psi for opening the internal wastegate? You may be experiencing boost creep if you did not upgrade your o2 housing and don't have a way to properly control it.

+1. porting the 02 housing, bigger downpipe, porting turbo and manifold or switching to an external wastegate are all ways of defeating the evil boost creep.

Most 16G's are set at 8-10psi and without proper porting have a tendency to creep. I understand the first post, I don't know what the heck is wrong you guy guys! ;) LOL
