The other night I was coming home from work car has 130k new clutch maybe 10k ago. Anyways it almost felt like the clutch was slipping but the harder you accelerate the more vibration you had and felt like it grabbed more. I was thinking i might have messed up a cv shaft because it felt like slippig in the trans manual at that. Last night i started it up after checking it over and nothing is wrong. So im going to change all the fluids out because i have been needing to do it and see if it helps. I guess im asking anyone ever had it happen or anything else i should do?

So I started it tonight and its like I have no clutch new slave and new fluid. When its colder out will your pressure plate not give as much pressure or will the clutch not grab the same?

By "No clutch" Do you mean?

1) No pedal pressure?

2) Or you actually can release your clutch but it doesn't move?

If #1 then I would check your line going from your fender well to the slave, DOUBLE check your slave (pull the boot loose and see if any fluid comes out or just squeeze on the boot with it on first and if any doubt then pull the boot off). Have a friend watch your clutch fork while you move your pedal. (lift it up from the floor if necessary).

If #2 then put it in reverse and try and back up and then go back to first and try it.

Give these things a shot and let us know whats up. :thumb:

But from the sounds of it your in need of a new clutch disk.

Have you had any smells coming from the car?

Have pedal pressure and I know the fork is engaging and disengaging. I tried all gears nothing didn't smell clutch. I have had a clutch go out slow but never so sudden. It went from great holding to nothing at all. I'm going to go with pull my tranny and see what is going on. Thanks for your help.
Edit: The thing I really found odd was the speedo goes up but the car will not move. Does it sound like more of a bad tranny or where does the speedo read?

I'd do some research on your diff. The speedometer reads from your tranny and is cable driven.

Did you try reverse like I suggested?

I did no power to the ground in any gear just spins like its in neutral. I did try engaging the tranny by hand and it goes in good. The speed is gear sensative the higher the gear the higher the speed so I'm pretty sure it maybe my front diff. Has anyone else had a problem like this with their diff?

Yup, thats why I keep asking about the reverse. Mine had nothing 1-5 but I could back up all day long and then try 1st again and it would work for a few feet and then quit pulling. Give Shepard Transmissions a call and see what they say :thumb:

sorry to open this back up but I started the car today its been a week or 2 since I have. Feels great for about 2 minutes power and everything can back up can pull forward. I hear a almost screeching sound can't find where its coming from and then goes to having no power to the ground. Im still watching the speedo go up and down but no power does this still sound like the differential?

I guess I don't understand how it can go out with a snap of the fingers but thank you for reassuring me on that. I also hate how I can ask a simple question for someone to maybe back your answer up seen as how it seems we are having 2 almost different problems. Like you said you can reverse all day long. I have no gear after about 2 minutes of driving. After that I have no reverse. Which I guess the question would have to be asked to someone else if their speedo was reading or if anyone has had similar problems? I apologize if I seem rude I may want to question more before I spend the money seen as how you are one voice.

No prob, but if Shep can give you some wise information then it may just be a dead in road. :D

Thats why I posted his site.

As far as the post thing I agree 100%, I have a TPS issue currently and I think I only got one reply to it. And I know for sure that more than one person has had to have the same thing going on.

I did a little searching for you to give you a little more info over the topic and here are a few links.Again I could be wrong but this is where my finger plans to point.
