Ive been noticing that my car idles like I have cams in it. I don't have cams and I'm not sure what could be causing a rough idle that constantly idles between 600-800 almost like the car is breathing.
I have checked for boost leaks and I have a 12 psi vacuum. I'm pretty sure that the leak that I have is from the TB that has a hissing sound.

I cant figure out what is causing this rough idle. Any ideas?

Thanks, Matt

Fix that leak, and any other vacuum leaks. If that doesn't fix the problem then check for a misfire...

The leak from the throttle body is either at one of the gaskets or at the throttle body shaft seals. Pinpoint the leak and fix it.

I had the same problem but my leak was from the idle adjusting screw. It would surge bad.
900k to1600k.(I just put some rtv on it and put it back in)=fixed leak

then when your readjusting you have to just keep playing with your idle screw and when it finds the right spot it will settle... i know i know its wierd.
I played with mine for about a week(just carrying phillips in car) before it found the perfect spot.
hope this helps

Well, it could be the BISS, the shaft seals, one of the nipples, or leaking from one of the gasket areas. When you're doing a boost leak test, spray some soapy water all over the throttle body area and watch for bubbles. This will help pin point the leak.

It would be so much more expensive to replace the throttle body than just to fix the leak.
