Let's Talk 2G FMIC Kits on 1Gs (Ebay Especially)

Everyone knows that when we think DSM, the term "Direct Bolt On" has little meaning when it comes to FMIC pipes and Exhausts (Except for the name brand guys)

Let's face it, the 1g FMIC kit on Ebay has piping that wraps around the whole front end, and although the price is nice...I'm sure alot of you are on the fence with this one.

Solution: Fab it.

But what about the 2G Kits you see, with the nice short pipes and the cool mounting brackets?

My question is, anyone pull off a 2G kit on a 1G? My thing is that I would like to keep the UICP I have and the OBX FMIC and Pipes caught my eye....However, they are for a 2G.

I know what my goals are, I know what route I would like to go, I just would like to see if anyone made a 2G kit for a 1G before I singe off my eyebrows. THANKS!

2g pipe routing isnt the same as the 1g, at least in stock form.

When I was referring to keeping my UICP, I know that on the OBX FMIC kit, the piping ends where the UICP begins.

Several 1g owners have put the 2g SSAC kit on their 1gs, including the short route piping that comes with it, look for the post somewhere there, and continue any other thoughts and what not over there.
