Just got around to installing a boost guage on my talon and realized I had no vacuum or boost running from the solinoid line that is recomended to tap on vfaq. Could it be that my solinod is stuck closed? I was wondering could I just remove the solinoid and run the hose from the mani to the regulator? This is what I did at the moment and car seems to be running better. I would like more info on if this was the correct thing to do. btw I will still be using this line to tap for boost.

Did you tap it in on the correct side of the solenoid? It should be tapped into the line coming from the intake manifold, not the one between the solenoid and the FPR. If it's tapped correctly, take off the vacuum hose temporarily (with the car running) and put your thumb/finger over it to feel for vacuum. If it's there, your gauge might be leaking/broken, or the line you used to connect it may be kinked somewhere (this is why hard nylon hose, rather than rubber vacuum line is HIGHLY recommended).
If it's NOT there, take off the vac line at the intake manifold side and put your finger over the nipple. If there's no vacuum there, the nipple is likely clogged.. a paper clip will be helpful in cleaning it out temporarily, but you might want to consider removing and cleaning it (this RARELY happens, and usually is indicative of a much more severe problem).

So you know, the solenoid 'pinches off' the boost/vac reference line between the intake manifold and FPR to artificially raise the fuel pressure and assist with hot-starting issues, reducing the likelihood of vaporlock. Allows boost through, just cuts off vacuum reference. It's operating as intended, and opens again after a few minutes, or after the car has warmed up (when cold-starting). My guess is that it's just tapped in on the wrong side. :b
