Datalogging cable won't work. Would you mind looking at it?

Instead of hijacking the other thread I started a new one. This is the cable my buddy made. He can't get the palm to connect. Somebody asked for a picture so here it is. Thanks in advance.

I keep looking at the build thread for the cable and I can't seem to see what's different. Man this is bugging me. Anyone else have pictures of their cable's that work?
Thanks.
Pete

I replied in the other thread, it looks fine. You do have that cable with the diode on it eventually splitting into two cables right? You should have 3 connectors on the car side altogether.

Yes. I have the diode side slit into two. I just totaled my laser last night so i'm going to have to get my buddies gsx running so i can test the cable again. Thank you very much for the info.

on my Vx Palm i have to change the sync setting to get mine to work. when it resets to factory settings after a battery drain it won't work unless i change the sync settings again.

Is it realistically totaled or just in bad shape? Thats unfortunate man.

Yeah. It just ran 14.01 on slicks and 14.6 at 101 on street tires. The kid I bought it off of sold it to me because he tried 3 different boost controllers and couldn't make more than 10-12 lbs. of boost. Fixed a bunch of boost leaks and let her rip. Held 22lbs. no problem. Not bad for a fwd 173K mile car. It just sucks to do all that work to it and have that happen. My buddy has a fwd 91 talon roller so I might pick that up. Funny enough the laser had full coverage so hopefully the insurance company will give me enough money to buy the talon.

Not sure what you mean? The red wire connected to the diode will go to a single connector that plugs into pin 1 on the DLC. The black wire splits into two connectors. It's the ground wire that connects to ground (pin 12 on the DLC) and pulls pin 10 low to put the ECU into logging mode.
