I'm trying to do some research before upgrading from a t-25 to a 14b.. (my t25 shit the bed and i have a 14b lyin around, figure i would buy the install kit w/ future plans of a 16g)

Would i have to get some kind of special air-fuel controller in order for the car to run properly with the 14b? or are there any specific mod's that i should consider installing with the turbo to run properly? Any tips/advice is much appreciated

thanks in advance ;)

If you keep the boost around 15psi you will be fine with no need to control air or fuel. Don't know if you have one yet but a boost gauge is a must.

get the swap kit, get new gaskets, and you are kosher... the 14b is superior in many ways to the t25, but its still a turbo... as long as you make sure you dont knock, you can boost as high as you want on it.. (if you have the supporting mods to do so..)

you will be legit with that turbo.. if you have a stock fuel system, then keep it below 14 psi, and you should be alright...

and +1 for the boost gauge.. YOU NEED TO GET ONE.. LOL... its the first mod you should get when you start turning up boost.. period...

You really dont need an install kit. research this a bit more and you will see that you can reuse alot of your parts.
good luck! you wil love the 14B so long as its a good one.

Okay thanks very much ;) ill definetly sleep better tonight now knowing i dont have to spend 500 bucks on an afc LOL.

Yea i already got a boost guage and im ordering a mbc, i figure ill start at 14 psi and work on buying the supporting mods and up the boost after LOL.. working kinda backwards butt i need a new turbo asap so i figure this is the best way

Thanks again guys

Yea, 14b will be so much better, it wont die off like our t25 does at around 5000 RPM, LOL. But as far as an AFC goes, you can get those for pretty cheap now days. I just bought an AFC NEO for $125, and it was brand new, so just do some searching for one of those, because eventually when you get bigger injectors and a bigger fuel pump, you'll deffinatly want one, unless you have an EPROM ECU, which then you could just burn a ship instead of getting an AFC.
