i got a 98 talon awd tsi and im about to install the fmic. i heard that certain things need to be relocated cause they will get in the way. i think it was the powersteering lines, im not sure. can anyone please make it clear what do i need to remove when installing the fmic? p.s. i am keeping the stock bumper and im removing the foglights. thanx for any advise

More times than not, you have to relocate the oil cool lines. They run from the oil filter to the front of the car to cool the oil. You have to relocate the lines and the bracket that runs in the middle of the bumper. ETS is good for keeping most things stock. I think they even help you relocate the lines with their manual that they send. Hope that helps.

Yea it would definitely help to know what intercooler you choose but most require the power steering cooling line to be moved or the line looped back into itself. I looped my line and havent had any problems whatsoever with the power steering. From what I've read the only real need for the loop is if your car is a rally car. Fog lights have to go from the stock location but if you want to be innovative, I moved mine to the other opening on the bumper. Just made some brackets and the wire reaches. Ha just a thought, but i got to keep my fogs!:rocks:

From what I've gathered ETS is supposed to be good for not having to hack too many things. Oil cooling lines is all we had to move on my friends 1G. Havent put mine in my 2G yet though so I can't tell you for sure. Good luck, man!

Well, first we will need to know what type of FMIC you will be installing since, intercoolers are different. Some require more work other will require less.

well i bought the unit and piping seperate the piping that i got for it was on this website:

it's the side to side intercooler...btw do i need the j-pipe to conect it from the 16g to the intercooler?
