Are you getting it from a inporter? You need turbo motor, turbo exhaust, turbo ecu, you need a 2.0 tranny to go with the 2.0 turbo motor and you may want to get the turbo engine harness to.

you can put 17 rim on some 235 with a 40(-/+ i dont remember) mm offset. and not rub

actually one of my friends works at a mechanic shop and he said he would give me the engine only comes with what i listed and the tire size same size all around?

i found a engine online turbo 4g63 includes: engine block, trnsmission awd transmission, ecu, alternator, distributor, power steering, ac compressor, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, intercooler, starter, wire harness, stock mounts& sensors for $1,550 will that be the whole swap and is that a good price?

I also believe once you get everything in you are going to need the hood from a 2.0 car. Last time I looked at a 1.8 car in the junkyard it didnt have the bump in the hood needed to clear the cam gears on a 2.0 engine. I might just be imagining things but i am pretty sure it was that way. That would be one of those things that would annoy the hell out of you once you get the project done. But anyways good luck with the swap. :thumb:

Also, swapping from 1.8L to 2.0, much less 2.0 turbo, was a very costly endeavour. It would truly be a lot more worth it to just sell the 1.8 as a rolling chassis, and buy a turbo DSM to start with. A WHOLE lot less work, and a metric assload cheaper. When you're looking at prices under two grand for a decent-condition GS-T/TSi/RS-T, it really and truly isn't worth the headache.

Also, Cs4g63, IIRC it was only the 90 and possibly the 91 1.8s that came with the flat hood.. 92+ had the bulge, same as the turbos, even if it was unneccessary. Still want to see if I can get a 1.8L hood to fit on my car.. step up the sleeper aspect even further. :D

nah imma go with the swap i cant get rid of that car i've had that car since my freshman year in high school is one of those things u can just let go that easy

i got a question my car is front wheel drive im getting a awd tranny what do i have to do to convert it into a awd?

Swapping from a 1.8L 4G37 FWD to a 2.0 4G63T AWD is going to get very very expensive. If you don't want to get rid of the car, keep your 1.8L as your reliable daily driver and buy an AWD Turbo car. You'll end up saving a lot of money this way and put all your money towards modding the AWD. I've owned a 1.8L 92 N/T Eclipse, the power/traction difference between those and an AWD Turbo car is very very large.

Is it even possible to do the AWD conversion on a 1g? I know it's been done with 2g's. I can understand the attachment the original poster has to a car that's been around since high school, but this will be costly. Make a budget, and then double that figure, because you just can't account for any little issue or snag that could occur during a motor swap, trust me. As other's have said, you'd be much better off just buying an AWD.

Converting a 2g to AWD is realistic. Converting a 1g to AWD is not. Look underneath your 1g, and find a place to put the AWD drive components.
