transfercase locking up? smoking and feels like driving with the brake on...

i thought it was something with my brakes but figured out the transfercase started smoking and its boiling and if i try to drive it feels like i have the brake on so is it locking up? what do i do?

I think Mitsubishi had a recall on the transfer cases. I am not sure for Eclipse's but for VR4 3000GT's.
