Fuel Pump...

My fuel pump might be bad.

Should i just replace with a stock one or get an aftermarket type?

For right now im doing a stock setup later on hopefully a 16G

Im on a budget so bare with me

You should really upgrade since you have to replace anyways.Depending on what setup your going for big or little. I went with the 255hp. 190 is good though.

Can i just buy the pump or do i need a pressure regulator?

If your going to a 16G get a 190 and a rewire kit for it. You dont need a FPR with a 190 I did it just as a precaution though. with a 255 you NEED ONE.

Ok before i go out and buy the pump is there a way to test my current pump?

There's a test wire on your firewall near the battery. Look at a manual to see exactly where it is. There's a protective cap over the end of it and it is usually tucked against the wiring loom with electrical tape from the factory. I believe you connect a jumper from the + side of your battery to this to test your fuel pump. You should hear the pump if it is working. Sorry, I'm at work, don't have a manual w/ me to confirm this, so somebody correct me if I'm wrong here.

I agree, you should get a Walbro 190. Cheap ($100), no FPR needed, better fuel delivery. Oh, replace your fuel filter if you haven't done that in a long time.

Shit i think the fuel filter is the same one as it is from 1991 i dont think anything on this car has been changed in the engine bay

The test connector is on the the firewall behind the battery taped to the wire loom. Connect a wire from the positive battery terminal to the test connector and listen through the gas door for the buzzing noise of the fuel pump. Here's a pic of the connector's location.
