St. Catharines,
im having problems with my auto tranny. 1997 talon tsi auto. today it was slipping pretty bad under normal driving. And im starting to hear a whining sound. By slipping i mean it was almost like i put the car into neutral and it would rev up and not going anywere when im driving and from a stop. I checked the fluid after this and it was overfilled could it being overfilled cause all these problems? I checked the fluid after i was driving around for a while and i wasnt just cruising acouple wot.

ya ive looked at the kits on the site before its so exspensive. Im prob just going to swap a 5speed in. im going to check the fluid again and if theirs to much ill drain some out and see if that fixes it.

ok i took the car out today and it seems to be sticking in neutral. I went to go off of a light and the car wouldnt move and i can tell it wasnt in drive because i have prothane mounts and the car will vibrate more in drive. i finally got it going after awhile but it will get stuck in neutral while driving and i cant go anywhere. reverse also wont work? is their anyway to fix this like could i disable neutral i know this sounds stupid but if thats what shot.
