I'm wondering how I would go about controlling my fans. I know that I can have them wired up to come on all the time. But Id like to keep it so they come on when needed and be able to control them to come other than when the computer thinks it needs it. So pretty much how would I interrupt the circuit via a switch to control them on and when off it runs from like normal?

You would power the Fan Relays on demand - Like the AC button does the "second" fan Relay - or the Coolant Temp Switch at lower passenger side Radiator does the "primary" Fan Relay.

1Gs don't really have computer control of the fans like the 2Gs do.
The radiator fan runs from the thermo switch in the radiator and the AC fan runs as the AC cycles. You can tie into the relays and control the fans yourself by adding another ground path for the relay coils in parallel with the stock setup.
