ok so my car stopped working about 2 weeks ago, I threw the 0022 code which basically is my cam angle sensor, I didnt have a voltmeter so I went ahead and rewired the harness and got another sensor just to be certain....DIDNT work so today I got a voltmeter and tested the harness and sensor, The red wire (power) is good, the ground is good, the thin white wire is good (reads 5v) and the thin black wire should read 5v too but it doesnt...its dead...I then tapped into the wire before the sensor plug and the wire is still dead.
How far back can I follow this wire to find out why its dead? It should read 5v, I know the ecu could be a possibility but I got dsmlink about 4 months ago and had the ecu rebuilt by them so it going out already is very unlikely.
I need help with this one I dont know very much about the dsm wiring harness and my chiltons doesnt really help either. So any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
