Ok so I installed my new FMIC which is the OBX brand and it aligned 100% straight, it mounted up perfectly and of course the install was awesome although It was missing 1 silicone coupler so I had to make one from a radiator hose I got at AutoZone which ended up sealing better then the ones it came with HAH..... Anyways on to my problem, So I crank it up and everything sounds fine so I then took it for a test drive, at about 6PSI I hear a SWOOOOOSh and the car loses power dramatically.

Now my assumption is I have the stock Upper pipes and a stock BOV do you think that I was just leaking like a siv before and now that everything is tightened up my BOV is just dumping at anything over 6PSI??? I don’t think its my intercooler piping because Its holding up until 6PSI but then just dumps the air and its LOUD.

I know by Friday I will have a new upper pipe kit here and a Greddy bov so that will really tell me if there is a problem but I just was looking for opinions from some of you =).

Thanks in advance :dsm:

You have a boost leak, The stock IC piping will hold 15psi just fine and the Stock BOV doesn't start to leak till around 12.

One or more of your couplers is leaking, a Boost leak test will find the culprit. :thumb:

:thumb: Thanks

Im thinking that my leak is where the lower IC pipe meets the stock plastic pipe. I heard someone had an issue with it holding here so I suppose I will just wait untill friday when I get my new BOV and upper pipe.

If it still surges then Im going to just beat the thing :beatentodeath:

Thanks for the info, you guys :rocks: ..........................

This is just to close this forum out, I got the new upper pipes and the new BOV, It took me about an hour to install both and get everything going... Turns out I had my MBC set to MAX BOOST!!!! :nono: So I feel super smart now haha.....

Anyways It was leaking where I thought it was near the stock pipe and the FMIC and now that im not pushing 20+psi thru the system it runs alot smoother haha. :thumb:

So just an FYI Dejon MBC turn it all of the way out for low boost if anyone is not sure if you tighten it all the way down you will be like me and well this is how I felt yesterday WTF ............
