On early model fuel systems, the FPR is mounted on one end of the fuel rail. On late model fuel systems it will be located next to the fuel filter, in front of the fuel tank, under the vehicle.

After you determine which fuel system you have on your '96, decide how you want to go about it. Configuration #2 is the simplest to implement on a late model fuel system. The top, un-labeled, configuration is the easiest, and most common method, to implement on an early model fuel system.

Both fuel systems can be modified for configuration #1, though on an early model fuel system you will need to swap fuel rails.
